Francesco Cavallini’s love for music began at early age.
He became serious about his music when in March of 1983, he came from Italy to Ann Arbor, Michigan. Cavallini began studying classical guitar at EMU (Eastern Michigan University). In spring of 1995 Francesco Cavallini earned a Master of Music Performance Degree in classical guitar from EMU.
He also won the 94-95 Graduate Music Performance Competition – EMU-1994 and participated as Recipient of Hibbard A Perry scholarship, 1994. He has studied privately with Steve Aaron at the University of Akron, Ohio and participated in guitar master classes with Pepe Romero and David Russel.
Cavallini has performed on mandolin and guitar for many theatres and opera houses in the State of Michigan. He tours with various Italian Celebrities has also recorded soundtrack for independent film companies.
Presently Cavallini teaches classical guitar with the University of Michigan-Flint. Besides being a fine interpreter of the traditional Italian genre, Cavallini has also delves deeply into Brazilian music to the extent that he will soon record his first CD Showcasing Traditional Brazilian Jazz. Mr. Cavallini and his band will tour Italy in the summer of 2022. Presently he performs in concerts, various clubs and festivals in Michigan and across the USA.
